These Terms apply to sales through maison-orvea.com to consumers in the United Kingdom and United States. The seller is established in France. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights under UK consumer law, applicable US federal or state law, product-safety law or data-protection law. |

2. Scope and language
These Terms apply to consumer purchases of physical goods. Separate written terms may apply to business customers or special services. The contract language for maison-orvea.com is English.
3. Products
The product page states principal characteristics, material, dimensions, care instructions and included items. Copper and natural materials may develop patina or have minor handcrafted variations. A normal variation is not a defect unless it conflicts with an express description, sample or promised function.
4. Ordering and contract formation
1. Select products and add them to the basket.
2. Review and correct product, address, delivery and payment details before submitting.
3. The final button clearly indicates an obligation to pay.
4. Submitting the order is an offer to buy.
5. An electronic acknowledgement is sent promptly. The contract is accepted when Maison Orvéa expressly confirms acceptance or dispatches the goods, whichever occurs first.
We may reject an order for stock, delivery, payment, fraud, legal or obvious pricing-error reasons. Amounts charged for rejected items are refunded.
5. Prices, currency and taxes
The checkout displays the applicable currency, normally GBP for the UK market and USD for the US market where configured. The total charged by Maison Orvéa, including collected taxes and shipping, is shown before payment. Import VAT, customs duties or carrier fees not collected by us may be payable separately and will be disclosed where reasonably foreseeable.
6. Payment
Payment methods are shown at checkout and may be provided by Shopify Payments or other processors. Maison Orvéa generally does not receive full card details. We may pause or reject an order if payment fails, is reversed or triggers a reasonable fraud or security concern.
7. Availability
Availability is shown in good faith but may change. If an accepted item becomes unavailable, we will inform you promptly and offer a refund or, only with your agreement, a substitute.
8. Delivery
Delivery methods, charges and estimates are displayed before the order. For UK consumer orders, delivery will occur without undue delay and within 30 days unless another date is agreed. For US orders, we will ship within the stated timeframe or, if none is stated, within 30 days, unless we obtain consent to a delay or issue a prompt refund as required.
Risk passes on physical delivery to the customer or nominated recipient. Title passes when full payment is received, subject to mandatory law.
9. Returns and cancellation
Maison Orvéa provides a 30-day commercial return policy for eligible unused goods. UK consumers also have the statutory 14-day distance-cancellation right, followed by 14 days to return goods. Full details, including return costs and deductions, are in the Shipping and Returns Policy and Refund Policy. Returns are initiated by email at contact@maison-orvea.fr.
10. UK consumer rights
Goods supplied to UK consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Depending on the circumstances, remedies can include the short-term right to reject within 30 days, repair or replacement, price reduction or final rejection. These rights cannot be excluded by these Terms.
11. United States consumer rights
US consumers retain applicable federal and state rights relating to unfair or deceptive practices, shipment, product safety and implied warranties. No additional written commercial warranty is provided unless a product page or warranty document expressly states one. Any disclaimer or limitation applies only to the fullest extent permitted by the law of the customer's state.
12. Inspection, care and safe use
Follow all care, food-contact and safety instructions. Copper may naturally change colour or develop patina. Inspect pet products regularly for damage or sharp edges and discontinue use if unsafe. Misuse or failure to follow clear instructions may affect remedies only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Liability
Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, defective-product liability and mandatory consumer remedies. Otherwise, liability is determined by applicable law and foreseeable loss principles.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events outside reasonable control. We will communicate material effects and offer cancellation or refund where the contract cannot be performed and the law requires it.
15. Privacy
Personal information is processed under the Privacy Policy. Order data may be shared with Shopify, payment, security, warehouse, customs and delivery providers as necessary.
16. Intellectual property
Buying a product does not transfer rights in Maison Orvéa trademarks, designs, photographs, packaging artwork or website content.
17. Complaints, ADR, law and courts
Complaints may be sent to contact@maison-orvea.fr or to the postal address stated in this document. Mandatory rights to contact a competent authority or court remain unaffected.
French law governs the contract, but this does not deprive UK or US consumers of mandatory protections applicable in their home jurisdiction. Proceedings may be brought in any court with jurisdiction under mandatory law; no clause requires an individual consumer to use a foreign court where that would be unlawful.
18. Severability and entire agreement
If a term is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. The invalid term is replaced by the applicable mandatory rule or, where allowed, a valid term closest to its purpose. These Terms, the policies incorporated at checkout and the order confirmation form the contract.
